The guitar society is a place to meet other people who appreciate the classical guitar, where we can play music for each other, and share our love of the instrument. Listeners welcome.

The next meeting is planned for Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Unitarian Society of Northampton, 220 Main St, from 7 to 9 PM. CLICK HERE for directions.

Plans include monthly gatherings, a Spring Concert and Guitar Day in April, a guitar orchestra/ensemble, and "playing circles" meeting at member's homes, in different towns.

We will gather to play some quartet music for the whole group (members arrangements from the Society library, plus Ode to Joy EASY) and an opportunity for members to perform in a supportive environment.

The first meeting of the guitar society, on January 7, was a great success, attended by 15 guitarists plus listeners. Pictures below.
